Celebrate Recovery @ Tropical Sands

The grace of God, a rockin' band, great food ... what's not to love?

Celebrate Recovery is a Bible-based, Christ-centered 12-step program for Christians who want to merge their group recovery efforts with their faith. Celebrate Recovery is a program developed by Rick Warren's Saddleback Church. It is founded on eight principles taken from the Beatitudes (Matthew 5:3-10), which are the core teaching of Christ's Sermon on the Mount. The Celebrate Recovery program has been adopted by more than 3,500 churches worldwide.

The program consists of a one-hour worship service, followed by small-group breakout sessions, then fellowship time. Tentative plans call for weekly programs Tuesdays at 7 p.m.

Small groups cover for chemical dependence, codependence and eating disorders. There are men's and women's groups for each topic.

A special note to all those AA and Al-Anon groups meeting in our Log Cabin: We salute the great things you are doing in our community, and are doing all we can to make sure that CR does NOT interfere with your meetings! Thanks for parking on the grass; everything is working out fine. We encourage everyone who's in recovery, whether you're in CR or not, to take advantage of the great fellowship and assistance provided by the nearly two dozen recovery groups meeting in our Log Cabin day and night, all week.
